Nature of our services
Multimodal is an international trade consultancy. We advise importers and exporters on Indian Customs procedure and documentation, and we coordinate customs clearance, freight forwarding and allied services on our clients' behalf.
In arranging transport, clearance, warehousing, insurance and similar services, Multimodal acts as an independent coordination and management service provider, engaging third-party carriers, customs brokers, insurers, warehouse operators and other vendors. We are not a carrier, and we do not perform these services ourselves. Accordingly, Multimodal accepts no liability for financial loss, transit delay, customs detention or hold, container or consignment loss or damage, demurrage or detention charges, or deficiency of service arising from the acts or omissions of any third-party vendor or carrier. Claims of that nature lie against the vendor or carrier concerned, and we will assist our clients in pursuing them.
