These terms apply when you use this website or ask Multimodal Logistic Systems Private Limited ("Multimodal", "we") for a service. By using the website or accepting a quote, you agree to them. They form an electronic contract under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and do not need a signature.

1. Our services

We provide information, documentation and coordination services for importers and exporters in India: drafting replies to Customs queries, compliance checks, help with registrations and certificates, marine cargo insurance arrangements and related work. The scope, fee and timing of each job are set out in the written quote or plan you accept.

2. We are consultants, not a law firm

We do not give legal, tax or financial advice. See our Disclaimer. We act on your instructions, and you decide what to submit and sign.

3. What you agree to

  • Give us correct, complete and genuine information and documents, and tell us promptly if anything changes.
  • Review everything we prepare before you sign or submit it. Declarations to Customs and other agencies are made by you and remain your responsibility.
  • Have the authority to give us the documents and instructions you provide.
  • Do not ask us to prepare anything false, misleading or unlawful. We may refuse or stop work if you do.

4. Fees and payment

Fees are agreed in writing before work starts. GST is added where applicable and shown on our invoice. Payment terms are those stated in the quote or invoice. Government fees, duties, taxes, freight and insurance premiums are separate and are paid by you or as you instruct. Refunds are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

5. Timing

The times we state are targets, not guarantees. They start when you have accepted the fee and we hold all the documents we need. Public holidays and Sundays are not counted. Delays by agencies or third parties are outside our control.

6. No guarantee of outcome

Customs, DGFT and other authorities make their own decisions under the law. We do not guarantee any outcome, approval, clearance or refund.

7. Confidentiality and your information

We keep your documents and information confidential and use them as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Our work and website content

The website content belongs to us or is used with permission. You may read it and use it for your own business, but you may not copy it for sale or republish it without our written consent. Documents we prepare for you may be used by you for the purpose they were prepared. Information on this website is general and may not cover your case.

9. Third-party links and services

This website may link to government and other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or availability. Services such as WhatsApp and email are provided by others, under their own terms.

10. Limit on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, demurrage, detention or penalties imposed by an agency, or loss caused by incorrect or late information from you or by decisions of third parties. Our total liability for any claim relating to a job is limited to the fee you paid us for that job. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury.

11. Ending the arrangement

Either of us may end a job by written notice. Section 3 of the Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to work already done. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as confidentiality and liability, continue after the job ends.

12. Events beyond our control

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural events, strikes, government action, or failure of public portals or networks.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. We will first try to settle any dispute by discussion, starting with our Grievance Redressal process. If it is not settled, the courts at Pune, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any right you have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force on the date you accept a quote applies to that job.
